A Month of Thankfulness
I love October and November. I love the crunch of leaves, the colors, the crisp, clear air, the smell of woodburning stoves and burning leaf piles, and the sense of rest and peace that autumn brings.
I would like to challenge each of you to wake up each morning during November and find things to be thankful for. In addition, look up Bible verses each day on thankfulness. God blesses those who are thankful for His blessings.
How often we take things for granted! How blessed we are to live in the United States. This truth was brought home to me only after I saw squatters in Mexico, living without roofs, running water, or electricity. They were lucky to have a fire, a pot to cook in, and something to put in the pot. How spoiled I found myself to be! How abundant God’s blessings have been to me! And not because of what I have done. I believe the blessings we have now are a result of generations past. Woe to the generations future for what we are doing in this nation…
Pray for your country. Ask God’s forgiveness and protection, especially on future generations.
And be thankful for what He has given us.
